Make Up Forever HD High Definition Foundation

I recently purchased the HD Foundation in 128. I am usually a NC40 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid and 330 Natural Tan in Revlon Colorstay. I have been on a quest for the perfect foundation for a long time. I have oily skin so its hard to find a good foundation that won't clog my pores, have the right coverage, and won't become an oil slick later in the day. Overall, the HD foundation has its pros and cons.

Pros:
1. Doesn't seem to break me out.
2. Doesn't oxidize throughout the day.
3. Skin feels light and breathable when applied (especially compared to MAC Studio Fix Fluid)
4. Good color range
5. Skin looks flawless

Cons:
1. A bit pricey but then again I'd pay whatever for flawless skin (to me that is the most important out of anything)
2. After 5-6 hours get oily
3. Medium Coverage (Depending on that time of month I need more coverage than this offers)

For the most part, I really like the HD foundation. I love the fact that I don't feel like I am wearing foundation with this product and the color range is spectacular especially for someone like me who has some yellow undertones. It does not break me out or make me look like a Ompa Loompa throughout the day. And my skin looks close to perfection.

My only major problem with this product is that I still get oily later on during the day. The only way I find to fix this problem is to dust a translucent setting powder and then spray a matte makeup sealer over it. Not the ideal steps to take for a college student who does not like morning classes.

Is the HD foundation worth getting? In my opinion, yes. Is it my HG foundation? No. I have not found it but if you have any suggestions for great foundations please let me know.

Urban Decay Get Baked Palette

This is a review on the Urban Decay Get Baked Palette. The palette has 4 eye shadows and one pencil eyeliner.

The colors are:
Twice Baked: A dark muddy brown with glitter. Urban Decay site says it is a "Brownie Brown with Gold Glitter". When swatched there was some glitter but it wasn't too extreme.
Half-Baked: A frosty gold. Urban Day site says it is a "Subtle, Lustrous Bronze". I see Baked as more of a bronze then Half-Baked. To me at least, Half-Baked is a true gold.
Flipside: A vibrant light blue. Urban Decay site says it is a "Electric Teal with Blue Sheen". In the palette it looks more teal but when swatched it comes out to a more blue color.
Baked: A goldish bronze. Urban Decay site says it is a "Rich Bronze".

Half-Baked, Flipside and Baked have a nice sheen to it where as Twice Baked is more like a velvet finish with some glitter. The colors are more on the cool side so if you are wary of warm tone eyeshadows no need to worry. The eyeshadows are very blendable and are richly pigmented. They are somewhat "soft" eyeshadows but not as soft as Stila and have some fall out but not enough to be very noticeable.

The 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Bourbon is a rick chocolate with some glitter in it. The liner is great for travel and it goes perfectly with the rest of the colors. My only problem with the 24/7 liners is that they tend to smudge when I line my top lash line. I have one double lid eye and and one mono lid eye. The double eyelid has no problem with a liner but the mono lid always smudges up onto the crease. I have this problem with any eyeliner expect Stila Smudgepots so smudging is not unique to the 24/7.

Overall, I love this palette. Its a great palette for travel and especially for someone like me who loves neutral colors and every once in a while will add a splash of color.

New Tattoo

My new tattoo! It took 2 hours but soo worth it. It hurt when it went over the bone area but other than that it wasn't that bad. Cost $90. I need to get it retouched a little but other than that it looks awesome. Its a cherry blossom flower with an angel wing. I love it so much!!!! What do you think? I bought Dermablend Leg and Body Cover-up to cover it up for when I work. it works really well. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to cover-up their tattoo. =)
